The Law Offices of Albert Wai-Kit Chan, PLLC continually seeks highly motivated and skilled candidates for the following positions:
Patent Attorneys
Our attorneys handle a wide range of intellectual property legal matters, which includes directing and managing patent and trademark prosecution, as well as licensing and transactional work. The attorneys evaluate patent validity and infringement issues; perform IP due diligence; and work closely with other offices. Must have passed state bar and patent bar examination.
Scientific Advisors
Our Scientific Advisors review client technologies to determine potentially patentable features; create technical diagrams and drawings that describe the invention; write patent applications with clarity and technical accuracy; and review issued patents. Strong scientific/technical background in engineering, biology, chemistry, physics or a related field needed.
Interns
Our internship program is offered to ambitious and diligent students with a science background who are currently in or recently graduated from law school. The interns will take on a wide variety of assignments ranging from patent prosecution to licensing and other tasks involving various intellectual property concepts. Disputed matters may be assigned to those who demonstrate proficiency in legal research.
The deadline to apply for our internship program is April 30. The internship program shall run from May to the end of August.
